2001 Chevy Impala, Chevy Monte Carlo, Buick LaSabre, Pontiac Bonneville, and the Olds Aurora. The dual stage passenger frontal inflator module connector was changed for these platforms. The new connector is a 4-way connector instead of a 2-way connector. This special adapter is used with the J-38826 SIR Deployment Harness for proper deployment of the passenger frontal inflator module. For proper deployment of the passenger frontal inflator module, follow the instructions outlined in the service manual. Plug the yellow end into the passenger frontal inflator module 4-way connector. Then, plug the male end of the adapter into J-38826 SIR Deployment Harness.
