J-41558 Crankshaft Sprocket Remover

Applications: GEN 3 and 4 LS platform engines. 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L and 6.0L 1997-2012

Used with J-8433-1 puller bar and J-41816-2 Crankshaft end protector to remove the crankshaft sprocket during timing chain service.

The crankshaft sprocket on the engine is pressed on and there is limited clearance on the back side of the sprocket for its removal. The sprocket diameter and limited access preclude use of previously essential tools.
